Plot
Napoleon is a gangster and some trustworthy people work under him. Karthi is his son and Napoleon’s friend Lal takes care of him. After the death of Napoleon, they make Karthi their head. At the same time, a corporate gives problems to the farmers and Karthi uses his henchmen to help the farmers. He also undertakes a challenge to change all his henchmen and show them the right path. Did he succeed? The rest of the film deals with it.
Star Performance
Karthi had done a lot of roles in his career so far. He excels in romance, action and dance in Sulthan and impresses the audience. Rashmika has got a good role in her debut. Napoleon and Lal are impressive with their experienced performances. Yogi Babu’s comedy is quite okay.
Analysis
The story is quite interesting and Bakkiyaraj Kannan has chosen the right hero. The screenplay moves at a brisk pace. If the running time is a bit trimmed, it would have been better. The director has rightly mixed the action story with agriculture and entertained the audience. Yuvan Shankar Raja’s BGM is one of the biggest pluses and the songs by Vivek and Mervin are good. The cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan is eye-catching.

Sulthan is a good entertainer for all age group audiences. Once again, Karthi impressed the viewers with his natural performance. Sulthan - watchable!
