Plot
Dr Bharat is a cardiothoracic surgeon, living with his parents in the US. A recurring nightmare tortures him and with that, he comes to know that he is an adopted son. To find out the answer to his nightmare, he decides to travel to India. He comes to know that his real name is Kaali, son of Parvathi. After a deep search, he started to his mother’s village, to find out his father. Gopi, a villager, accompanies Kaali during his travel to find out his dad. Did they find out Kaali’s dad? Watch the film in theaters!
Star Performance
Vijay Antony has done what is required for his role. In fact, he chooses the script that falls in his comfort zone. Yogi Babu is the only positive point in the film and he keeps the film alive with his comedy. Others have no significant role.
Analysis
Kiruthiga has come with a new method of storytelling. Although the story is not much compelling, Kiruthiga’s way of executing the script is good. But, the screenplay should have been much better. Vijay Antony’s script selection is monotonous. He should have tried some other genres. Choosing the sentimental and psycho scripts will not help him to jump to the next level. The production and the technical values are good. Vijay Antony’s BGM and the songs are good as usual.

Verdict
Kaali is not a different story but has been told differently. Kudos to Kiruthiga for choosing a different narration path! However, the story doesn’t impress us and at the same time, it is not the worst movie. Although the film couldn’t be compared with “
