Plot
Pariyan dreams to become a lawyer and joins the Law College. As he is not good at English, he had to face a lot of troubles. When Pariyan felt embarrassed, he gets the friendship of Jyothi Mahalaxmi. Mahalaxmi helps him in learning the subjects with ease and clears his doubts. But as she is from a higher caste, the relationship between Mahalaxmi and Pariyan creates a huge issue in Mahalakshmi’s family. Her family people threaten Pariyan. What happens next? Did he overcome the caste issues? Watch the movie in theatres!
Star Performance
Kathir and Anandhi make a good pair. They have played their part well. But in a few scenes, Anandhi’s performance seems to be fake. Yogi Babu, Marimuthu Lijeesh and all other supporting actors had done a good job. In fact, Kathir is the fulcrum of the movie and shoulders it with his excellent performance.
Analysis
It is exciting to see a debut director taking a caste issue in his first movie. Mari Selvaraj has excellently picturized the caste discrimination. He has shown how the high caste people treat the low caste people and he also comes with honor killings. The director slaps the honor killings with the powerful dialogues. Santhosh Narayanan’s BGM and Sridhar’s cinematography are perfect.
