Plot
Anikuttan is an electrician. He has a sister, Sandhya. Sandhya’s marriage was fixed. But on the marriage day, she elopes. As this affected Ani’s father, Radhakrishnan, he committed suicide. Now, Ani and his mother, Shanta, are living in Wayanad. Following his father’s death, Anikuttan suffers a lot and he gets irritated even for the small sounds. He couldn’t even tolerate a baby’s cry. During monsoon, there is a heavy rain flow and the neighbours suggest moving to the camp, which he denies. Anikuttan gets stuck in the landslide, and his survival becomes a question mark. What happened to Shanta? The rest of the film deals with this.
Star Performance
Fahadh gives a wonderful performance. His anger at his sister, who left them and caused his father’s death, is emoted well. Rajisha, Indrans and Jaffar Idukki have done justice to the given roles.
Analysis
The second half of the film is based on the landslide near Wayanad. The characters are neatly designed and proper artists are chosen. Seeing the death face to face is terrible and we are shown that with Fahadh’s performance in the second half. The visuals are good and the editing is pretty decent. The BGM gels well with the plot. The screenplay and execution are neat. The film has decent production and technical values.

Malayankunju has some beautiful performances and emotional scenes. For Fahadh’s performance, this film is recommended for at least a one-time watch!
