Plot
Gru, the undercover Anti-villain Agent, becomes a dad. His son Gru Jr becomes the target of Maxime Le Mal, who escaped from prison to take revenge on Gru. So, Gru and his family relocate to another town and adopt new identities. Gru was trying to settle into the new life, but the AVL Minions didn’t make him settle down. Poppy, the Prescotts’ daughter, starts blackmailing Gru. What happens next? The rest of the film speaks about Gru and his family’s survival against the villains.
Star Performance
The voice actors have done their jobs perfectly, and nothing has gone wrong.
Analysis
The story has all the elements from the previous franchises, but it looks heavily stuffed. Many tracks look incomplete and make the film to get a rushed finish. The scenes between Gru and Maxime could’ve been developed better. Even the Gru family’s relocation scenes look half-baked. The makers rely only on slapstick comedy and have succeeded to an extent. However, the narrative lacks depth, which is one of the biggest minuses. As Maxime and Valentina occupy most of the screen time, the Minion fans get irritated.
