Christopher Chris Meledandri was born on 15 May 1959. He was born in New Yok city in America. He is a film producer. He is also the director of Illumination Entertainment. From 1981 to 1986 he worked for Dan Melnick as his assistant. Then he rose as an associate producer. He started this journey as the President at Walt Disney pictures for Dawn steel pictures. He worked as the Chief Producer of Cool Runnings. Then he joined 20th Century Fox in 1993.
He was the producer of Ever After: A Cinderella Story. Chris was the one who assisted Fox to become popular in animated films all over the world. He helped Fox gain Blue Sky studios, a commercial house in 1998. He developed that into an outstanding producer of animation. He noted the business and creative works Blue Sky Studios. He then found Illumination Entertainment. It was an All Audience Film Production. Universal Studios financed it. Illumination Entertainment released its first film Despicable me in 2010. The film was a huge success all over the world. In 2011 they released their second movie Hop. It was directed by Tim Hill. In 2012 they released the film Lorax. In 2013 they released the sequel to Despicable me titled Despicable me 2. In 2015 they released the film Minions which featured minions. NBC Universal then said they wanted to buy Dreamworks Animation on 28 April 2016. They purchased the competing studio for 3.8 billion dollars.
Chris Meledandri then looked after Dreamworks and Illumination Entertainment. He is a representative of The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. He is also a representative of trustees board of The Hotchkiss School, Lakeville in Connecticut. Chris Meledandri married Leslie and he has two sons.
