Plot
The story takes place in 1976, and Gru dreams of becoming a villain with the help of minions. When he receives an invitation from a supervillain team he attends the interview to replace their founder. He does poorly in the interview and also he steals the Zodiac Stone and gives to his minions to protect it. Will the minions be able to protect it till the end? What will the team do after their stone has been stolen?
Star Performance
The minions were definitely in the spotlight. The animation and their gibberish language were cute. Eleven-year-old Gru was a treat to watch and his adventure with the minions was delightful to watch.
Analysis
The relationship between the minions and Gru is something we cannot miss in the film. Even though Gru is still eleven years old the minions look up to him as their boss and always help him. When Gru is angry with minions they do everything to get back on good terms and help him become a supervillain like he always wanted to.
What’s There?
• The visuals and animations were good.
• The minion’s scenes and characterization was excellent.
What’s Not There?
• Not up to the mark of previous movies.
• There was no solid storyline.
Verdict
It might not be like the previous movies and has lost the franchise’s magic but you can give this movie a chance.
