After playing a typist role in a stage play, he got the name Typist Gopu.

Besides the theater plays and cinemas, he had played in the TV series too. Gopu had played in “Y Gee Mahendra” drama troupe, United Amateur Artists. Today morning Gopu was admitted to SRM Hospitals in Chennai. As his body couldn’t recuperate to the medicines, Gopu left to the eternal world, today evening. May his soul rest in peace!
