and her first one was Punnagai Mannan and the next one is Guna. Punnagai Mannan was directed by veteran director K Balachander. Rekha played a cameo role in the movie with a few scenes and an important song. In her old interview, Rekha told that she was not informed about the liplock scene in the song. However, she said that she had not expected an apology from the hero or the director.
During the shooting of the song, Balachander told Kamal to do what he instructed him and Rekha could not understand what he says. The scene came out well, but Rekha was a little shocked. After watching the movie, Rekha felt that the scene was important in the movie. She stated that if she was informed about the scene, she would not have signed the movie.
