S Shankar In Deep Trouble?

Time and tide wait for none, and Shanmugham Shankar is learning it the hard way.

According to the recent reports, the Tamil director, once known for churning one blockbuster after the another, is now finding it difficult to even get one producer for his next film. In less than two years, two of his most prized projects have turned out to be commercial failures, i.e. ‘Indian 2’ and ‘Game Changer’.

While the future of his Hindi remake of ‘Anniyan’ is in limbo, Shankar is adamant that ‘Indian 3’ will be released in the theaters, come what may. However, this is easier said than done, given that neither ‘Indian 2’ nor ‘Game Changer’ managed to recover their costs.
