Magalir Mattum was a great success of 1994 due to its rip-roaring comedy element. The American film 9 to 5 was remade as Magalir Mattum in Tamil and was directed by Singeetham Srinivasa Rao. The film had an ensemble cast of Revathy, Urvashi, Rohini, Nasser etc. The story talks about three women of different nature who are employed in a fashion export company. How they put a fullstop to the flirting behavior of their boss form the rest of the story. Released in 2008, Kuselan is the remake of the Malayalam venture Kadha Parayumbol. It had Meena and Pasupathy in pivotal roles. The story focuses on a villager who had an intense friendship with a famous celebrity down south. The celebrity role was played by Rajinikanth and it was an extended cameo. Rajinikanth’s performance was the icing of the cake and he effortlessly pulled off the role of a very popular celebrity.

This film was released in 1998 and directed by Vikraman. The movie revolves around the life of a person who turns a good auto driver from a robber due to a person whom he loves. Nee Varuvai Ena
