She is an Indian actress in the film industry, mostly working in the south industry. She was born on 26th October 1991 in Ernakulam, Kerala. After completing her schooling from Nirmala Higher Secondary School Aluva, she joined St. Teresa's College in Kochi, to pursue a B.A. degree in English. After that, she was offered a supporting role in the remake of Neelathamara (2009) by Malayalam director Lal Jose.
Later she worked in films like Vikadakavi, Veerasekaran (2010) this movie was her debut movie in Tamil industry. Later she worked in a romantic drama film Mynaa (2010), directed by
. Through this movie, Mynaa, she got recognized in the industry. Amala secured the Vijay Award for Best Debut Actress, also gaining nominations in the Best Actress category at the Filmfare Awards and the Vijay Awards. She is still working in the industry.
