ES Murthy

ES Murthy is a music composer in the Telugu movie industry. His father is ES Shastri, and he worked in the Public Works department. Murthy lost his father at an early age when his father was in the US for a government project. After his father’s death, Murthy’s family shifted to Kakinada. He completed his B. Sc and then CA in Kakinada.

Murthy started playing harmonium when he was 10. When he was 11, he played harmonium for stage dramas. He got an opportunity to participate in Yuva Vani, a show on All India Radio, while doing his CA. Murthy has penned lyrics for a lot of Telugu movies and Telugu-dubbed movies. He has penned the dialogues for the dubbed movies in Telugu. Murthy worked with SA Rajkumar in many movies as a lyricist. From the late 90s to 2006, he penned songs for Rajkumar.
