Boddu Gopalam is a well-known film music composer and a singer at the AIR (All India Radio). In 1927, he was born in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. His obligation to music made him the recipient of India's fourth-highest civilian award Padma Shri. Boddu Gopalam is the son of Ramadasu, supporter of Harikatha. He married his fellow companion Renuka. He learned to play violin in Vijayawada under the supervision of Varanasi Brahmayya Sastry. He started his career at the insistence of Tatineni Prakash Rao. He started his independent music direction by composing music for his first film Nala Damayanti in Telugu and Kannada languages later started his career as a playback singer. Gopalam has worked with renowned directors such as T.V. Raja and S.S. Rajeswari.
