The actor was born to producer Allu Arvind and Nirmala on April 8, 1983. H Hence, it makes sense to say that acting bug ran in him too. Allu Arjun is related to some pretty big-time Tollywood heroes (Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, Ram Charan are maternal uncles) and has kept their flame burning on the silver screen. Considering big heroes like Chiranjeevi, Pawan and Charan as famous actors in Indian screen could have earned him passage to Tollywood royalty. Allu Arjun still realizes that he needs his space in Indian screen. Today, he is undoubtedly a popular name in Telugu cinema. He is also the paternal grandson of comedian Allu Rama Lingaiah. As a two-year-old boy then, the actor had begun his journey in a Chiranjeevi’s film ‘Vijetha’ and appeared in two scenes as actress Subha's son. Later he also acted as a dancer in “Daddy’ and was appreciated.

In ‘Gangotri’ (2003), he made his first appearance as a hero. He was just one of the younger actors then who had ‘the spark’ when he arrived on the screen. His next movies like ‘Arya’, ‘Bunny’,’ Desamuduru,’ Parugu’ etc. were super duper hits in Telugu circuits. He established an image of his own and even was crowned as a best dancing star in the current era of Tollywood.

One of his films ‘Arya-2’ was released in Telugu and was dubbed in Malayalam, Tamil and Oriya languages with the same title and became a blockbuster in Kerala. The film gained him a huge fan base in Kerala too. Later, the film was remade in Bengali also. Over the years, the actor matured in his acting skills and tried to play his character flawlessly. His characterization evoked sympathy from the audiences, and thus he strengthened his position with every release that he had in his hands. His rise to the top of the competitive world of Tollywood was a new wonder that turned every studio projects into box office hits, and even go on to garner award nominations for his performances. In 2011, a film ‘Badrinath’ hit the screens and turned a big success. For this particular movie, he learned martial arts and the film was a success at the box office. Next year, another Telugu movie of his named ‘Julayi’ was dubbed into Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi languages also.

Later in 2010, he appeared even in experimental films too (‘Varudu’ and ‘Vedam). He has won Nandi award twice (‘Arya’ & ‘Parugu’) and Filmfare awards thrice (‘Parugu’,’Vedam’ and ‘Race Gurram’). The actor even appeared for a 3-D film ‘Rudhramadevi’ which was the highest grossing film in 2015. Allu Arjun got married to Sneha Reddy on March 6, 2011, and has a son Allu Ayaan born in 2014. Allu Arjun is unanimously identified as a wonderful actor and a true professional. In many of his films, his performances have been undeniably exceptional.
