Robinhood To Stream On This OTT Platform

After an underwhelming performance at the box office, Nithiin’s action drama Robinhood will have a unique digital premiere.

According to the recent reports, the Venky Kadumula directorial will be streaming simultaneously on Zee5 Telugu platform and the Zee Telugu TV channel by May 10. The movie starred Nithiin and Sreeleela in the lead roles, apart from a cameo by Australian cricketer David Warner.

Robinhood aimed to break the long standing box office drought for superstar Nithiin. However, it failed to do so, as the movie earned just 8 crores worldwide on a medium budget of 60 crores, and even the presence of either David Warner or Sreeleela was of no use.

It’s been more than five years since Nithiin last tasted success at the box office. His last successful movie was Bheeshma, which co-starred Rashmika Mandanna and Jisshu Sengupta in prominent roles. Despite the rising start of COVID-19 pandemic, the movie was a resounding success at the box office, earning 52 crores worldwide. All hopes now lie on Nithiin’s next movie, Thammudu, which will be releasing in the theaters by mid 2025.

Thammudu is another action drama which is directed by Venu Sriram. The movie also marks the Telugu debut of Sapthami Gowda, best known for movies like Kantara, The Vaccine War etc.
