Dasari Narayana Rao

Dasari Narayana Rao is an Indian cinema director who has mainly worked in Telugu movies and has credit to some Bollywood movies too. He was born on 4 May 1947 in Palakol, West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh, India. He has done his graduation in BA and had an interest in acting and directing since then. He has performed in many drama competitions. Most of the films he has done in his career have laid emphasis on corruption, gender discrimination and injustice.

He has done over 150 films as a director and also produced 53 films. His movies like Surigaadu has also been screened at the International Film Festival of India.
