Akhanda 2 To Undergo Changes?

Looks like Akhanda 2 is set for a makeover.

According to the recent reports, there are strong rumors that the movie might not make it to the original release date of September 25, though an official update is yet to be made by the makers. Apart from that, there are also rumors that the movie will be bagged by Jio Hotstar for the post theatrical release, if everything goes well. The original movie is also streaming currently on the same OTT platform.

Akhanda was directed by Boyapati Srinu and released in November 2021. Despite the restrictions posed after the COVID 19 pandemic, the movie turned out to be a surprise hit, restoring Nandamuri Balakrishna’s stardom. Since then, even in the worst case scenario, none of the movies starring Balakrishna in the lead have earned below 100 crores, with his last release Daaku Maharaaj also earning 110 crores worldwide.
