Akhanda 2 To Now Release On This Date?

Akhanda 2 has now secured a new release date.

After being postponed from its initial release date of September 25, the devotional action drama starring Nandamuri Balakrishna will now release on December 5. If this is true, it means that the film will now directly clash with Ranveer Singh’s much awaited espionage drama Dhurandhar, which is directed by URI fame Aditya Dhar.

Directed by Boyapati Srinu, Akhanda was an action drama that released in December 2021, a few months after restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic were finally lifted to a large extent. Despite the looming threat of the COVID-19 pandemic and the emergence of Pushpa: The Rise, the movie succeeded commercially at the  box office, earning nearly 150 crores on a modest budget of 60 crores.

This movie also restored the credibility of Nandamuri Balakrishna as a bankable star. This is why the sequel of Akhanda is expected to show him in a more savage avatar than ever before. The movie also co-stars Aadhi Pinsetty as the lead antagonist. Samyuktha Menon will be playing one of the female leads, while Harshaali Malhotra, best known for the Bollywood movie Bajrangi Bhaijaan, will be making her adult debut as an actor with this movie.
