Manchu Vishnu is the first son of Veteran Telugu actor, politician M. . He was born on 23 November, 1981 in Chennai. He completed his schooling from Padma Seshadri Balabhavan School in Chennai. He graduated from Shree Vidyaniketan Engineering College, which is one of the prestigious institutions in South India run by his father. After completing his schooling, he went to USA and got trained for martial arts and acting.

Manchu Vishnu debuted on the silver screen of Tollywood with Telugu film ‘Vishnu’ and he bagged Filmfare for the first film itself. The film that brought star status to Vishnu is Dhee. The film has changed his status from Mohan Babu’s son Vishnu to Vishnu’s father Mohan Babu. Dhee, directed by Sreenu Vaitla with Jenelia D’Souza, and Brahmanandam as main cast was the block buster in Tollywood in 2007, and was remade into Tamil and Bengali. The film made him top contender of Tollywood. His other major flicks are Asthram, Krishnarjuna, Denikaina Ready, Doosukeltha, etc., He shared the screen with his father in Saleem, Pandavalu Pandavulu Thummeda, and impressed the Telugu audience with his performance.

Apart from acting, he is also a producer and owner of 24 Frames Factory and Think smart. He has produced many movies and Telugu serials. He is also director of Shree Vidyaniketan Educational Trust which was founded by his father. He married Viranica and has 2 twin daughters Ariaana and Viviaana. His siblings and Manchu Lakshmi are also Tollywood actors.
