Saloni Aswani Telugu Actress

Saloni Aswani

With all the charm and energy that she brings on to the screen when she takes over it, Saloni Aswani, the pretty actor, is a favourite for many of the tollywood audiences. The model-turned-actress has also ventured into the Hindi cinema, Tamil cinema and Kannada cinema but it was majorly in Telugu Cinema that she tasted success.Born into a Sindhi family in Maharashtra, Saloni was originally named as Vandana. To be a model and a film actor was Saloni’s childhood dream that she later pursued. She was a model for a long time before her film career took off appearing in ads like Three Roses, Parachute Oil, Lifebuoy and Vaseline. Her first gig as an actor was for the Hindi film, Dil Pardesi Ho Gaya which was released in the year 2003. Soon after that, she was offered some films in tollywood and eventually became a popular face down in the south. Oka Oorilo (starring Tarun), Chukkallo Chandrudu (starring Siddharth), Kokila, Maryada Ramanna (directed by the popular director Rajamouli) are some of the films that she will be remembered for, where she plays the main lead.Despite being a very familiar and favourite face with the audiences, Saloni did not really attain stardom in her career and soon, resorted to acting in supporting roles. Recently, her supporting role in Race Gurram (a commercial movie starring Allu Arjun) was much loved. Saloni though, is really happy with the place that she’s achieved in the telugu film industry and considers herself lucky to have worked with some big directors as she often cites in interviews.
