Vinayak Mani is an actor and producer. He came to spotlight with the film Mahabalipuram which is based on real events. He produced the film, and also worked as a lead actor in the movie. The audience liked the movie. Initially, the film released in 150 theatres in Tamil Nadu alone. Then, it released on thirty screens in Bengaluru, four theaters in Mysore, and thirty screens in Kerala. The film released in Mumbai. The producer told that the small town Mahabalipuram is not only a place for tourist guides or fisherman, but it has many colors, and hence the film wanted to bring the same color to the movie. Sibiraj purchased the right of the movie. The film got released in overseas like Malaysia, Singapore, and Sri Lanka.

Veteran actor Sathyaraj narrated the voice in the movie, and actor Simbu had sung a unique song. Major portions of the movie were shot in Mahabalipuram, and a few scenes were shot in Bangkok. Editor of the movie is L. V. K. Doss. It was Vinayak’s first movie as a producer. He was forced to shoot from morning 9 am to evening 6 pm. Both the director and producer had been friends for 15 years. One beautiful day both of them finally decided to make a movie. All the co-stars were acquainted with short films experience. But Vinayak was the new face, and everyone helped him to evolve as an actor, so he managed to act well. He felt difficult to state whether he will produce any other film or not, but he said that he would stick to acting.
