Thiruchi Loganathan

Thiruchi Loganathan was the leading and the first playback singer in the Tamil music industry. He was born on 24th July 1924 in Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu. His wife Rajalakshmi was the daughter of famous Tamil film and stage actress C. T. Rajakantham. Their sons, T. L. Loganathan was active from 1947 to 1986. In 1947, Kasinimel Nangal, in the movie Rajakumaari was his first song. During the golden era of the Tamil film industry in the 1950s, Loganathan got most of the opportunities. His work in the movies Manthiri Kumari (1950) and Parasakthi (1952) is memorable. Loganathan’s golden voice helped him to get some of the memorable hits of the 1950s.
