Johan Shevanesh

Johan Shevanesh, a music programmer, instrumentalist, and sound engineer, was born in Chennai, Tamilnadu, India. He was born into a musical family. His father is G. Logonathan Pillai, and his mother is Nilavazhaghi. His grandfather, Jeevaraja, was a sitar player and teacher. So, he started teaching Johan in his childhood. Johan joined MS Nithyanathan and learned Hindustani and Carnatic music by getting inspired by his grandfather and uncle, Poovazhagha. He learned to play guitar in Western and classical styles from Master Natarajan. He began playing keyboard when he was in 6th grade.

After completing 10th grade, he started studying sound engineering at Vappa Conservatory. Then, he moved to Switzerland to study sound techniques from Bob. He completed graduation from Bishop Corrie Higher Secondary School and then started his musical career in Kutcherry. The film industry recognized his talent and invited him to the cinema field. He shared the stage with Simbu and GV Prakash on the Children's Special Show. It inspired him to join the film industry. He started his work as a director by working for PSY movie companies. His first work was seen in the movie Kollaikaran (2012). This movie gave him recognition. He worked again with the same director for the Metro movie. It is a realistic movie, and it left a remarkable impression on the audience. Johan had more than seven years of experience in live performance. He has performed for about 2000 programs. He has played in live bands as a primary instrumentalist for Lakshman Shruthi, Maestro Karunas, Deva Brothers, Gangayamaram, and Jeeva Radha Shruthi. He has done shows in Europe, UAE, Africa, America,  The Middle East, and South East countries.
