P. V. Kalyanasundaram

P V Kalyanasundaram was born on 25th February 1958 is a politician from Tamil Nadu who was a former organizing secretary of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam D.M.K party, later he resigned from the D.M.K party on July 30, 2014. He had completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from The New College, Chennai. Then he studied a Bachelor of Law degree from Madras Law College.

He has also participated in various public activities through Green Peace World Charitable Trust. He had worked as director of Tata Communications Ltd from the year 2005 to 2011 and as the director of Kalaignar TV during the year 2011 to 2014. He managed many educational institutions that have seven colleges and six schools.

Kalyanasundaram is married to Aruljothi Sengodan, and has a son, Varun Kalyanasundaram. Varun completed his MA in Film and Media Production in Los Angeles. He also worked in a few Hollywood projects. Varun is the director of Polimer Media Pvt Ltd, VK Digital Network Pvt Ltd, and Ultron Broadband Pvt Ltd.

P V Kalyanasundaram started his business in media in 1985 by manufacturing TV sets. Later, he started the cable TV distribution business. He launched his own cable network, VK Digital Network Pvt Ltd. In 2007, he launched the satellite channel Polimer TV. In 2009, Polimer News channel was launched. Kalyanasundaram’s Polimer TV also has a sister channel, Sahana Music.
