Saritha Ram is a Kochi-based classical singer who has performed in stage shows around the world. She was associated with Soorya Krishnamoorthy’s Group that helped her to grow as a singer. She is also ‘A-graded’ artist in AIR and got a wide recognition for her song ‘Pranavaakaram’ from Gauthami Tadimalla’s comeback Malayalam movie ‘E’.
Saritha had learned classical music at a very young age and even won scholarship when she was just six. Later, she was trained in Hindustani music by the legendary singer K.J. Yesudas when she was just ten years old. The singer has performed along with well-known playback singers like Sripathi Panditaradhyula S P Balasubramaniam and Nightingale of South India K.S. Chitra and enthralled viewers.
The singer had a unique association with music composers like Dakshinamoorthy, M K Arjunan, Raveendran master, B A. Chidambaranath, M G Radhakrishnan and later on, had an opportunity to work with younger generation singers and music composers like
, Bijibal, and Rahul Raj.
The singer later took a break from her singing career and did team up with singer Vineeth Srinivasan for ‘Aby’ and ‘Pranavaakaram’. She even has sung in Tamil movies and composed her albums even. Her voice that has been appreciated in Tamil Nadu is from a movie named ‘' Sowkarpettai’ and few solo musical albums.
