Siddhu Kumar

Siddhu Kumar is an Indian music composer, music director, and songwriter who mainly works in Tamil film industry. He is also the CEO of Blu Academy in Chennai, India. He was born on October 10, 1993. Siddhu Kumar’s place of birth is Madurai, Tamil Nadu. He finished his school studies at Sri Aurobindo Mira Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Madurai. Later on, he took a Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering at SAE Chennai and completed it in early 2014. His mother's name is Rajakumari, while his father’s name is Kumar. He married Raji, an MBA graduate from Ooty & HR officer in a US-based company. Siddhu Kumar began his career as an independent musician. He has worked as a music composer in Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi language films. Siddhu Kumar didn’t plan to become a music director & composer. He doesn’t belong to a musician family. While in school, he was simply drawn to his seniors playing music during school fests. He was naturally inclined to composing when he was his high school. He used to compose music for all the poems that were part of his curriculum. He even started taking up classes in Carnatic music & western classical. In 2011, he went to Chennai to eventually pursue his dream of becoming a music composer. He then signed up for a sound engineering course in Chennai. He made contacts in the industry through various internships. Later, he worked with Bollywood composer Tanishq Bagchi in Mumbai.

Once Siddhu Kumar moved back to Chennai, he began working with composers like Vishal Chandrashekhar and Ghibran as a music producer & programmer. He has also worked with many Kannada music directors in more than fifteen films. After working on the short film "Yeno Vaanilai Maaruthey,” Sasi sir called him for SMP.

He also composed for Yogi Babu’s Trip. He provided super hit songs in his first film and has emerged as a music composer with the super hit movie “Bachelor,” starring GV Prakash Kumar.
