Ramya Krishnan is a South Indian movie and TV actress who has acted in more than 200 films. She has acted in the 5 big languages of Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi. She is a pro in the likes of classic dances, Bharathanatiyam and Kuchipudi, and has performed worldwide as well. She was born in Chennai to Telugu parents, who speak fluent Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. She is the niece of Cho Ramasamy, an actor and a leading politician. She is married to Krishna Vemsi, a Telugu director, and has a son named Ritwik.

Ramya Krishnan started to act in movies in a lead role when she was only 13. She starred opposite Y. G. Mahendran in ‘Vellai Manasu’.
