Born on April 8, 1988 Nithya Menen is indeed a star to reckon with. She has worked in South Indian films, including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. Hailing from Calicut, she was brought up in Bangalore. Before joining films, she passed Journalism from Manipal Institute of Communication. Though, she wanted to do a course in Cinematography things didn’t fructify. After working as a child artiste in the film Hanuman, she did a film with Mohanlal during the year 2008. This got her many accolades and she was nominated in the category of Best Supporting actress.
During one of her entrance exams Nithya met director Nandini, who was instrumental in making Nithya an actress. Her debut film as a grown up artist is ‘Ala Modalaindi’ in Telugu, which was directed by Nandini Reddy. Nithya dubbed for herself in one of her Telugu films. Nithya Menen is known for films, including Urumi, 180 etc. Now, she has several films in her kitty. A commendable fact is that Nithya Menen is also a singer. She has worked as a playback singer in many films and has around 4 awards to her credit as a playback singer).
