Sridevi Vijaykumar is a south Indian actress born in 1986 to the popular filmy couple Vijaykumar and Manjula. She is the youngest in her family. All her siblings are in the film industry. She has a half brother Arun Vijay, who is a Tamil film actor. Kavitha and Anitha are her half sisters. Her siblings are Vanitha Vijaykumar and Preetha VijayKumar. Preetha is the wife of the popular Tamil film director Hari. Sridevi Vijaykumar started her career as a child artist from the movie Rickshaw Mama. A specialty in this movie is her father Vijaykumar acted as her grandpa. She was going to school till the age of 9. After that, she was taught with a home tutor, as she was busy in the films as a child artist. She has acted in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada movies.

She was famous for her role in Amma Vandhachu, David Uncle and Sugamana Sumaigal as a child artist. In the movie Sugamana Sumaigal, she was made to cast as a boy. Till 1997, she acted as a child artist. In 2002, she was introduced to the Tamil cinema as a heroine through Kadhal Virus, directed by Kadhir. This film had Richard, Shalini Ajith’s brother, as the hero. Though this film did not hit the box office, Sridevi Vijaykumar was warmly welcomed to the Tamil cinema industry. Priyamana Thozhi added a milestone in her career. Madhavan and Jyothika are her co-stars in this film. She was appreciated well for her supporting role as Maddy’s bestie in this movie.
