Monal Naval was an Indian model and movie actress. She acted in many Tamil movies. She was the sibling of the famous actress, Simran. Her parents were Saradha and Ashok Naval. She finished her school education in the city Delhi, and finished her college education in Mumbai. She got her BCom degree at the Mithibai College in Mumbai. She has two siblings, Jyothi and Simran. Earlier, she took part in fashion modeling, and also participated in many fashion shows and beauty competitions. Then, because of her talent and beauty, she got many offers to act in movies. At the time, her sister Simran was a very famous actress in Telugu and Tamil movies, and her other sister, Jyothi, also made her entrance into the acting industry by the year 2003.

She went ahead to start her acting career with her first film, Badri, with the actor Vijay in the year 2001. She showed up in a couple of movies, with most of them ending up being moderate victories in the film industry.
