Saravanan is a Tamil actor. He was born in Salem, Tamil Nadu. He was the second of six children. His father was in the police, and his mother was a staff nurse in a hospital. He did his BA in Tamil Literature from Government Arts College of Salem. Later he moved his base to Chennai to do a course in acting at the Adyar Film Institute. His first film was Vaidegi Vandachu. Directed by Radha Bharti and his co-actor was Archana. He was the lead actor in many films during the 1990s, such as Pondatti Rajyam(1992),
(1992), Suriyan Chandiran(1993), Thaai Manasu(1994), Thambi Durai(1997), and much more. He has done a total of 33 movies. He also directed a film titled Thaayumaanavan.

Saravanan is an Indian film actor who has predominantly worked in Tamil Films. Saravanan was born on 10th October 1966 in Salem. He has done many movies as a lead artist from 1991 to 1998. He is the second of the five kids. His father worked in police and his mother was a staff nurse. He had a keen interest in writing since his childhood and wrote many Kavitha's. Saravanan was born in Salem district of Tamil Nadu in India. He is an actor in Indian films who acted more in Tamil films. He has five siblings. He is the second among them. His mother's job was staff nursing. His father worked as an IG (Inspector-general of police). He completed his bachelors' degree in Arts from the Government Arts College at Salem in the Tamil Literature. He then moved to the capital city of Tamil Nadu, Chennai to complete his acting course at Adyar Film Institute, which is officially known as M.G.R. Government Film and Television Training Institute.
