Sumathi Sri

Sumathi Sri is a writer, lyricist, newsreader, and orator born and brought up in Trichy, Tamilnadu. She did her schooling at St. Philomena's Hr. Sec. School. She went to St Joseph's College to get her B. Sc degree, Bharathidasan University, and Holy Cross College. Sumathi did the post-graduation course in Tamil. She had also worked in PKR Arts College For Women as a lecturer. Sumathi started developing her orating skills when she was 8. While many of her relatives made fun of her for choosing MA in Tamil, she carried out her studies full of hope. In 2002, Sumathi worked in a local channel in Trichy as a newsreader.

Before becoming a lyricist and orator, she had been a sales representative in Tanjore, selling books door by door.
