Na. Muthukumar is a poet, lyricist, writer and novelist, who writes in Tamil. He is famous for writing scripts and songs for Tamil films. Na. Muthukumar was born on 12 July 1975 in a small village named ‘Tirur’ near Kanchipuram in Tamil Nadu. His Father, Mr Nagaraj was a Tamil teacher.Mr Nagaraj always maintained a collection of 5000 books throughout his life, and after he had passed away, this collection was preserved by his son in his office. Also, his mother passed away when he was merely four years old. Muthukumar reminisces that he acquired most of the knowledge of his life from his father’s book collection. Also, to help others he has plans to open a library where everybody could access those books. Na. Muthukumar began his career with a dream to be a director. So, he started working under director Balu Mahendra for about four years as assistant director. But due to turn of events, he landed into being a lyricist. He began with writing the lyrics for the Tamil movie ‘Veera Nadai’ which was directed by Seeman.

Though ‘Veera Nadai’ happened to be the first movie for which he wrote lyrics but it was not his first film as a lyricist. Instead, it was released as his 32nd film as a lyricist. Once he started with lyrics writing, there was no looking back, and he went on to be the top lyricist in Tamil Film industry. He had worked with almost all renowned Tamil music composers of his era like Haris Jayaraj, Dharan, Sudar C and also with the legendary music composer A.R.Rahman himself.He started with dialog writing from 2007 released Tamil film 'Kireedam’. Till now, Muthukumarhas written scripts for more than 50 films and lyrics for more than 700 songs. He made a huge accomplishment by writing 103 songs in the year 2012 alone.Owing to his sheer talent and mesmerising writing skills, Muthukumar is among the most demanded writers of the Tamil Film Industry. He bagged the National Award twice for his lyrics for the songs ‘Aanandha Yazhai Meetugiraai’ from the film ‘Thanga Meenkal’ and another song ‘Azhage Azhage Ethuvum Azhage’ from the movie ‘ Saivam’. Muthukumar married Jeevalakshmion 14 June 2006, at the JS Marriage hall in Chennai.

Madhan Karky Vairamuthu was born on March 10, 1980. He lives in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He completed his education from College of Engineering, Guindy and University of Queensland. He is an Indian lyricist, software engineer, a professor, research associate, and a film dialogue writer. His parents are Vairamuthu and Ponmani; his father is a poet and a lyricist. He is their eldest son. In 2001 at the college of engineering, Guindy he completed his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. Further in the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia he completed his Post Graduation and Ph.D. in information technology in 2004. In 2010 he became a lyricist for the science fiction film Enthiran. For this film, he wrote the song "Irumbile Oru Irudhaiyam." He also assisted the director S. Shankar in writing dialogues for the same film, especially with technical terminology. He wrote the song “Ododi Poren” and became his first release for the Kanden Kadhalai (2009). He had been awarded for the Best Find of the Year in Vijay Awards for his work in Enthiran. In 2010 he was nominated for five categories and won 4 awards namely best upcoming lyricist from Mirchi Music Awards South and V4 awards for the same category, the best find of the year from Vijay awards and top 10 Nambikaigal from Vikatan Awards. In 2011 he was nominated for 11 categories and won 8 awards from Big Tamil Rising Awards, Vijay Awards, Vijay Music Awards, Mirchi Music Awards and so on. In 2015 he was nominated for the song Pookkalae Sattru Oyivedungal of the movie ‘I’ and won the award for Best Lyricist from Edison Awards. In 2011 films he worked as a lyricist. Enamo Aedho was the song of KO’s soundtrack which became very popular for its lyrics. High budget films had included in his work like A. R. Murugadoss's 7aam Arivu. For this film, he wrote the song in the Chinese language. He has also written a song in Portuguese. He worked on dialogues for the film Nanban and also wrote lyrics for a duet song in 15 languages. For the next highly anticipated film Kadal of Mani Ratnam, he penned down three songs. For the film Baahubali and Mass, he has written dialogues. For Kalakeya tribes, he created a new language Kiki in the movie Baahubali. Photography is also his passion since childhood, apart from penning down songs . He had a collection of photos that he clicked in his young age. Cooking, Coding, and photography are also the things he is interested in. Many things are in his hands which kept him on a move!
