Interestingly, the previous name was Illa Aanalum Iruuku before changing it into its current one. It released on 9 May 2014. Surprisingly, Yaamirukka Bayamey became one of the critically acclaimed Tamil flicks of 2014. In its review, Sify hailed the efforts of Deekay and wrote that every cinema enthusiast should get happy with the arrival of the young filmmaker. Yaamirukka Bayamey earned over five crores at the Box-Office. In a press conference, Deekay thanked the fans for giving love to his motion picture.

Deekay also mentioned that he analyzed every aspect of the script before shooting the film. Deekay acknowledged that most of the viewers did not like the initial 20 minutes of the movie. However, Deekay defended his decision by emphasizing the importance of the scene which is crucial for the plot. Producer Elred Kumar signed Deekay for Kavalai Vendam after achieving fame for YB. The crew could not finish the film in time due to 2016 Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu.

Alongside its Telugu dubbed version, Kavalai Vendam released on 24 November 2016. But the movie could not impress the audience. While filming the song, Kajal Aggarwal became a prankster as she dragged Deekay into the swimming pool where the artists were enacting a dance sequence. In 2017, Deekay addressed the rumors which suggested that he would work with Nayanthara. Deekay told the reporters that a studio asked him to write a script for Nayanthara’s upcoming film. However, the plans did not work out due to unforeseen circumstances. Deekay confided that he wished to make Yaamirukka Bayamey’s sequel. But Deekay is not sure of directing the second installment.

Deekay is currently working on a Tamil comedy flick. Deekay has considered Kajal Aggarwal for the lead role, but he has not announced his decision. Deekay shocked everybody when the director tweeted that he would retire from Kollywood. Later, Deekay came clean on this issue and clarified that the tweet was an expression of his emotional outburst. He also expressed his concern for his mother who was not in good health. As a result, it made Deekay to tweet a surprising decision.

Pandiraj

 Pandiraj is a Tamil film director and producer whose arrival into Tamil cinema was felicitated by a National award for the best screenplay in his debut project, Pasanga. Pandiraj grew up in Puddukottai in Tamil Nadu, but relocated to Chennai, after having completed his formal education in the city where he was born. Initially, he worked for director K.Bhagyaraj, as his office attendant, while also chalking out short stories for Bhagya,   the weekly Tamil magazine. Knowing the competition in today’s world, especially in the cinema world, Pandiraj had to invest immense labor to gain recognition, and pocket a decent amount of work. He assisted notable directors like Chimbu Devan, Cheran, and Thangar Bachan, on various projects. The year 2009 marked Pandiraj’s debut as a director in Tamil cinema with “Pasanga,” produced by M.Sasikumar. The movie fetched many accolades for Pandiraj, inclusive of two national awards for the Best Screenplay, and the Best Story.  The story of “Pasanga,” centers on various incidences that occurred during Pandiraj’s childhood, and the shooting took place during school holidays, and on most weekends. Consequently, after the triumph of his debut venture, Pandiraj donned the director’s chair again for his second movie, Vamsam, which featured the novice actor Arulnithi, and Sunaina. The production of the film was undertaken mainly by Arulnithi’s father. In the year 2012, Pandiraj directed Marina, financed by his production house, which he set up in the same year, under the title of “Pasanga Productions.” Marina marked the debut of Sivakarthikeyan, a Tamil television anchor, and a comedian. In the following years, Pandiraj also directed Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga, Pasanga 2, and Kathakali; turned a distributor for Moodar Koodam; and wrote dialogues for Goli Soda.
