C. V. Balakrishnan

C. V. Balakrishnan is a noted writer and novelist who tried to shine in the film industry too. As he had a big dream, he had to follow the hard principles required to attain such dream. He also became a successful screenplay writer and assisted the Malayalam film industry in providing the necessary script and story to fetch a critical acclaim in the industry.

This influential writer was born on 24 September 1952 in Kerala. He got the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award in 2000 for Atmavinu Seriyennu Thonnunna Karyangal book. Later on, he published a book titled ‘Cinemayude Idangal’ which received the Best Book on Cinema award in 2002 from Kerala State.

In the same year, director K G George adapted his story and approved the same title for the movie ‘Mattoral’.
