Rajalakshmi Abhiram

Rajalakshmi Abhiram is a renowned and talented Indian singer. She was on October 13 in Karambakkudi, Pudukkottai, Tamil Nadu, India. Her mother, Pavarthy, was a professional singer in the early 1960s. Born into a family of singers, Rajalakshmi Abhiram discovered her talent at age nine. It was her mother that recognized how beautifully she sang. Rajalakshmi Abhiram attended St. Ann's English Medium Higher Secondary School, Eloor. After that, she attended Government Girls Secondary School, Ernakulam. She obtained a Bachelor's Degree in English literature from St Theresa's College, Ernakulam. Rajalakshmi Abhiram is married to Sentjil Ganesh, and they have two children; a son and a daughter. They trained in folk art together and married on May 23, 2012.

Together with her husband, they have released several albums of Tamil folk music. As a child artist, she did lots of musical albums. She featured in several ganamela stages of Tansen Music, Cochin Kalabhavan, C. A. C, and Cochin Melodies. She also worked with music directors, including K. Jayachandran, amongst others. Rajalakshmi Abhiram became well known during the first music competition on Malayalam television, Doordarshan's Hamsadwany. She won the Best Voice Award in the all-singing competition at age 10.

Rajalakshmi was introduced into the movie industry by Jassie Gift and played a role in Aswaroodan. She has also played a part in movies like Ranga (2022). 2011, Rajalakshmi Abhiram was given the Kerala State Film Award by the Malayalam film music industry.
