Ramesan Nair is an Indian poet who worked for the Malayalam film industry. He is also a lyricist and wrote more than 450 songs for the South Indian film industry. Ramesan was born on 3rd May 1948 in Kumarapuram, Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu, and was a recipient of the Sahitya Akademi Awards.
In 1966, he completed his Bachelor's degree in Economics, and in 1972 he completed his post-graduation in Malayalam literature. As a poet his most famous work was Sooryahridayam before this in 1985, he worked for the movie Pathamudayam. Ramesan also worked as an editor in All India Radio.
