Sijoy Varghese is a versatile performer in Malayalam cinema. He has been an indefatigable creative force for the past two decades whether it is shooting a commercial advertisement for television or associating himself as an actor or screenwriter thus keeping impact in several celluloid films at one go. Back to his creativity, he has taken his first three chapters of film – acting, assistant scriptwriter, and assistant director in his kitty and grew up as the founder of leading advertising agencies, marketers & brands in TV commercials in Mumbai.

He set up in the year 2005 his own advertisement agency in Mumbai as a managing director of ‘TVC Factory’ which is a leading advertisement film production house that has offices in Dubai, Kochi, and Mumbai. He made his acting debut in the year 2013 with the film ‘ ABCD’ where he played the role of police commissioner. In the same year, Sijoy experimented himself as a screenwriter for film ‘ 5 Sundarikal’ which was based on five short stories on love about five types of women.

Sijoy was involved with the short story ‘Isha' which was directed by Sameer Thahir and for this Sijoy not only wrote the story but even was co-screenwriter along with Siddharth and Bharathan. In the same year, he starred in a film ’Thira’ starring actor Shobana and Dhyan Sreenivasan in lead roles wherein he played the role of a cabinet minister. In the year 2014, he acted in ‘Bangaore Days’ which was a critically appreciated film and even had a high box-office return too. In this film, Sijoy’s role as coach Zach was well appreciated. In the same year, Sijoy was associated with actor Dileep in a film ‘ Avatharam’ wherein he played the role of ACP Gautam Vishwanath. In the year 2015, two of his films got a release.

One was ' Jamna Pyari' which was directed by Thomas Sebastian and another film was 'Ayal Njanalla' which was directed by Vineeth Kumar. Sijoy made an entry on the silver screen as an assistant director in the year 1992 and even was a script assistant to many script writers of Malayalam cinema. He was assistant director on films like ‘Nakshatrakoodaram’ (director Joshy Mathew) and ‘Uppukandam Brothers’ (director T. S. Suresh Babu). Simultaneously Sijoy began assisting in scripting for various movies that had been directed by veterans like Dennis Joseph, T. Damodaran, and Kaloor Dennis and scripted many blockbuster movies in Mollywood. Recently, he was seen sharing screen presence with new generation actors like Arya, Dulquer Salmaan, Arya, Prithviraj, and Fahadh Faasil etc.

In 2016, he made his appearance in ‘James & Alice’ and will also appear in an upcoming movie ' White' alongside Huma Qureshi and Mammootty. Sijoy Varghese was born on 6 March 1971 in Kerala. He got married in 1999 with Tessy Raphel and has four children.

Sibi Malayil is an acclaimed director in Malayalam movies and known for his work which is pure melodrama. He has provided many popular melodramatic movies in the 1980s and 1990s. Sibi was a second unit director for director ‘Fazil’ in a movie named ‘Virinja Pookkal' (1980) which had ‘Shankar’ and Poornima Jayaram in the lead roles. In the year 1982, he assisted in directing Jijo Punnoose for a movie 'Padayottam' which had Prem Nazir, ‘Madhu’, ‘Mammootty’, ‘Mohanlal’ and ‘Shankar’ in the lead roles. In 1983, he was an associate director for the movie 'Ente Mamattukkuttiyammakku'. It was baby ‘Shalini’’s first hit movie. In the year 1984, he assisted director ‘Priyadarshan’ for two movies. In the year 1985, he credited himself as an independent director and directed ‘Mutharamkunnu P.O.’ (1985). This was his first film as an independent director in a full-fledged movie. Later, he directed 40 movies in Malayalam and has won many accolades such as the National Award, State Award, and Filmfare Awards. His first family-drama film was 'Chekkaeran Oru Chilla’ where he directed a movie based on the topic of a football player. His film 'Doore Doore Oru Koodu Koottam' (1986) won the national award for the best film based on social issues. In the year 1987, he directed a movie 'Thaniyavarthanam' starring Mammootty and ‘Saritha’ which was a blockbuster. Sibi directed a 1988 Malayalam movie ‘August 1’ which had Mammootty and ‘Urvashi’ in lead roles and it was a blockbuster. The film was sold at a price of Rs 13 lakh in the territory of Tamil Nadu. In 1989, he directed the evergreen Malayalam movie 'Kireedam' which is still ranked as one of the biggest blockbuster movies in the history of Malayalam cinema. Actor Mohanlal won the National Film Award (under the category of the Special Jury Award) for his portrayal of Sethumadhavan in this movie and it is considered to be one of Mohanlal’s best performances. In the next year, Nedumudi Venu received the National Film Award for the Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of the role of Maharaja in ‘His Highness Abdullah’ (1990). In the same year, he directed 'Maalayogam' which is one of the biggest hits of the decade. Sibi surprised everyone by directing movies on classical music 'Bharatham' (1991)which was produced by actor Mohanlal and acted in also by Mohanlal himself. This film fetched Mohanlal a national award. In the year 1992, he came up with two gigantic movies such as ‘Sadayam’ and ‘Kamaladalam’. The director was always associated with screenwriter and playwright A.K. Lohithadas for his movies. Born on May 2, 1956, the director got married to ‘Bala’ on March 27, 1999, at St. Mary’s Basilica Kochi. The couple has a daughter Zeba and a son Joe. Joe was born on December 27, 1990, and he is their first child. It is believed that Sibi met Bala in Chennai when she was working in a bank in Anna Nagar, Chennai. Bala developed a liking for Sibi, as did the film director for her, and it was a true marriage that has continued forever.


AyodhyaKumar Krishnamsetty

Ayodha Kumar Krishnamsetty is a Telugu film writer, producer, and director. He was born and raised in Visakhapatnam. He completed a degree in Marine Sciences at Andhra University before he went to the USA to work in a software field in 1999. But he was laid off after the 9/11 incident so instead of applying for a new job, he took a 4-year bachelor course in filmmaking at the Northwest Film Center in Portland, Oregon. After passing out from the film institute, he started working on short films and has done The New Scarf (2006) and I Am Not a Chair (2008). In 2009, he decided to work on mainstream cinema. He penned a romantic comedy film but his dream project is to work on a film about education. He did some research until MVV Chowdary told him a storyline that occurs in a visually impaired school. He bought the script and work on it to become a full-fledged script. He visited renowned blind schools in Andhra Pradesh and made his own interviews. He even goes to Perkins School for the Blind in the US. In 2012, he has written, produced, and directed the Telugu social problem film, Minugurulu. The film received the Best Indian Film Award at the 9th India International Children’s Film Festival and became the very first Telugu film that was preserved at the permanent core collection of the Oscar Library. It also received seven state Nandi Awards including Best First Film of a Director and Best Film (Silver). Ayodha is one of the Board of Directors of the production house, Respect Creations, the banner who produced Minugurulu.
