Shruthi Sharanyam is a Malayalam film director known for her famous works such as “B32 Muthal 44 Vare”, "Charulata," and "Manumalayalam". Shruthi Sharanyam completed her education at the Manipal Institute of Communication and started her career as a director in the Malayalam film industry. Shruthi has directed short films and music videos and then debuted in the film industry.
Her first movie, B 32 Muthal B 44 Vare, is an emotional drama based on body shaming in society featuring six women leads. Despite the limited release of this movie, the film got so great response from the public, and she won the award for best Malayalam film for a debut director at the International Film Festival of Kerala. As a woman director, Shruthi believes that it is still an uphill journey for her and she has put a lot of effort into this movie and received a lot of appreciation too.
