Kasturi Shankar

Kasturi Shankar, also well known as ‘Kannadada Kogile and Nadamayaa Kasturi, is the esteemed Indian singer who sings majorly in Kannada. She is a virtuoso with a blessed voice and has composed and recorded a few films songs in Malayalam and Tulu languages and many non-film songs in Konkani, Tamil, Sanskrit, Telugu, and Hindi. Kasturi is highly regarded for her contribution in the movies Paduvaaralli Pandavaru(1978), Besuge(1976), Makkala Bhagya(1976). Kasturi is wedded to Shankar and is blessed with two children. Shankar is one of the most acknowledged South Indian Playback Singer. She hailed from South India and was born on 1 November 1950 in Mysuru to Girijamma and J. C. Shankarappa.
