’ which came out in the year 2012. Meghana Gaonkar was born on 8th May in the year 1985. She was born in her mother’s hometown, the city of Gulbarga located in the state of Karnataka. She completed her higher secondary education from Sharanbasaveshwara Residential School situated in the city of Gulbarga. She later moved to Bangalore and joined Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College to pursue graduation and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in her desired subject which was commerce.
After graduation, she joined Bangalore University to do her Master in English Literature. Meghana did not stop her educational journey there as she went to Adarsha Film and TV Institute and gained a diploma for film making and acting. Her younger years were filled with modeling and beauty pageants. In the year 2003, she contested and won the crown of Miss Garden City, Bangalore and also the crown of Miss Beautiful Smile. From there, she was offered the job of hosting various television shows in major Kannada television channels. Some of the shows that gained her popularity and recognition were, Preethiya Kannadiga, Star Dish Dishum and Kuniyona Baara, etc.
She made her entry in the 2010 release film, ‘Nam Areali Ondina’ and played the role of ‘Chinnu’. Her performance in her debut film got the attention of film maker V. and cast her in his 2011 movie, ‘Vinayaka Geleyara Balaga’ alongside actors such as

Before becoming an actress she was a faculty at Shiamak Davar’s Institute for Performing Arts and has performed at many prestigious events including the closing ceremony of Melbourne’s Common Wealth Games in the year 2006.
