Nagendra Prasad is an Indian dance choreographer and occasional actor. Most of his work has been done in either the Tamil or Kannada film industry. He next made another special appearance in the South Indian film Coolie. His first major role was in the 1995 movie Thotta Chinungi, a complex love story that was eventually adapted in Hindi as Hum Tumhare Hai Sanam. The Hindi version tanked completely. His next venture was a Tamil romcom titled Kushi. The movie was well-received by critics and was once again remade for Hindi audiences; this movie was titled Khushi. He went on to make a couple of cameo appearances in Tamil films Rhythm and Minnale. He finally began his acting career in a lead role in the 2001 Kannada film Chithra.
When it released, the movie was given positive reviews by critics and also did gangbuster business at the box office, leading to a successful debut for Prasad as the main actor. After this, he did supporting and cameo roles again in Tamil films Mutham and Chocolate respectively. In between these two films, he also did another Tamil movie titled 123 where he acted alongside his brothers Raju Sundaram and Prabhu Deva. He then starred in the Tamil blockbuster Ghilli, which not only received praise from critics but also set box office records in Chennai. Prasad’s latest Tamil venture Kadhal 2 Kalyanam was completed in 2010 but hasn’t been released till date because one of the producers, who was a part of this movie, exited the movie business altogether. Aside from acting, he has done choreography work in seven different Tamil movies: Thotta Chinungi, Ninaivirukkam Varai, Chocolate, Minnale, Mutham, Ramachandra and Parasuram.
