Basil AL Chalakkal is a famous director. He has worked as a director in many films. He was born in Kozhikode village in Kerala. He completed his primary education in Kerala. After this, he came to Mangaluru to study engineering. Since childhood, he had been fond of cinema, so he thought of doing something further in it. But he did not know where to start. After this, he made a short film with his friends. After this, he has also worked as an assistant director in many movies like Harikathe Alla Girikathe (2022), Raj Sounds and Lights (2022), Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana (2021), Paddayi (2018), and Sarkari. Hi. Pra. Shale Kasaragodu, Koduge: Ramanna Rai (2018), and Story of an Egg (2017). He has also worked as an art assistant in the movie Luca (2019). He debuted as a Hindi cinema director with Toby (2023). He has made this film in collaboration with Raj B. Shetty.
