Mark Powelett is a British writer, actor, and broadcaster. He is also a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Radio Presenter. He was born on 26 September 1967 in Stratford-upon-Avon, England. He studied theatre at Coventry University. Mark comments on news stories about hypnosis and the mind. He presented the afternoon show on BBC Coventry and Warwickshire. He hosted many live broadcasts, one at Stratford’s Royal Shakespeare Theatre, and his guests were Dame Judi Dench and Patrick Stewart.
Mark presented a Coventry Conversation for students at Coventry University in 2010. After graduation, he has appeared as an actor in several productions in both theatre and movies. He did many corporate videos for clients like BT, Unison, and Coop. Mark was a successful stand-up comedian and also the winner of the Virgin New Comedy Award in 1996, and performed live comedy on Radio and TV. In the 1990s, he presented Arts File for BBC Television.
