He mainly grew up with his mother and his sister in Macon, Georgia, after his parents were separated and his father moved to Los Angeles. Shavar Ross is currently working as an actor, film director, screenwriter, film producer, editor, photographer, author, and a retail entrepreneur. At present, a father to two kids, Seven Shavar Ross (born on 24th August,/ 1993) and Chelsea Lynn (born on 26th February,/ 2005), and a husband to Jacqueline Ross, Shavar was married back on 15th December,/ 1992 and is currently residing with his family in the city of Los Angeles. In mid-2001, Shavar started his own production company named “Tri 7 entertainment”.
