Kevin Mckidd

Kevin McKidd is a multifaceted Scottish star, who can sing, act, and direct films. Kevin is known worldwide for his role as Owen Hunt in the most popular and widely watched drama ‘ The Grey Click to look into! >> Read More... ’s Anatomy’. McKidd was born in Elgin, located in Scotland. He studied at Sea Field Primary School and finished his college in Elgin University. During his graduation, he joined the local drama club and staged many plays. He wanted to study engineering and hence joined Edinburgh University but later discontinued that course as he realized his passion for acting and joined Queen Margaret College to pursue drama. 

Kevin was first cast in the Black Humor movie Trainspotting, in the year 1996. He acted as the character named Tommy in this film which won several awards. He was first seen on the small screen through the drama Father Ted, in 1996. After a few serial, he attained fame by acting in the short series called as Gunpowder: Treason and Plot, which is a cluster of short stories of the Queen of Scotland, Mary. The serial was featured on BBC television, in the year 2004 and Kevin did the role of the third husband of Queen Mary. Other television sitcoms to his credit are Anna Karenina in 2000, The Virgin Queen in 2005, Rome and Journeyman in 2007, and so on. 

His effective acting as the lead character in the serial Rome bagged him the big opportunity to act in the world famous serial ‘The Grey’s Anatomy’, in the year 2008. He is acting in the role of Dr. Owen Hunt in this drama which is aired on ABC channel. This medical flick consists of twelve seasons and is still running successfully. He was nominated for two Prism Awards, in two consecutive years for this serial. 

The movies in which he appeared includes Regeneration (1997), Bedrooms and Hallways (1998), Nicholas Nickleby (2002), 16 Years of Alcohol (2003), Made of Honor (2008), and many more. He recently appeared in the flick Home Sweet Hell Click to look into! >> Read More... , in the year 2014 as Freeman. Apart from acting, Kevin has also dubbed for a character in the blockbuster animated movie Brave and also for the video games Grand Auto Theft and Call Of Duty. 

Kevin is happily married to Jane Parker since the year 1999 and the couple has two kids.
