Kevin McKidd is a multifaceted Scottish star, who can sing, act, and direct films. Kevin is known worldwide for his role as Owen Hunt in the most popular and widely watched drama ‘The Grey’s Anatomy’. McKidd was born in Elgin, located in Scotland. He studied at Sea Field Primary School and finished his college in Elgin University. During his graduation, he joined the local drama club and staged many plays. He wanted to study engineering and hence joined Edinburgh University but later discontinued that course as he realized his passion for acting and joined Queen Margaret College to pursue drama.  Kevin was first cast in the Black Humor movie Trainspotting, in the year 1996. He acted as the character named Tommy in this film which won several awards. He was first seen on the small screen through the drama Father Ted, in 1996. After a few serial, he attained fame by acting in the short series called as Gunpowder: Treason and Plot, which is a cluster of short stories of the Queen of Scotland, Mary. The serial was featured on BBC television, in the year 2004 and Kevin did the role of the third husband of Queen Mary.
