The tennis legend Roger Federer was born on August 8, 1981. He was born in Switzerland in Basel Cantonal Hospital. He was born to Robert Federer and Lynette Federer. His father is a Swiss, and his mother is a South African. He has an elder sister Diana. Federer is both South African and Swiss citizen. His native language is Swiss German. Federer is a Roman Catholic. He also played badminton and basketball. Federer married former Women’s Tennis Player Mirka Vavrinec. The couple has a pair of twins. Two girls named Myla Rose and Charlene Riva and two boys Leo and Lennart.

He started the Roger Federer Foundation in 2003. It got established to help children in education and sports. In 2005, he helped the affected people of Katrina Hurricane. In 2004, he aided the victims of Tsunami. He visited Tamil Nadu in 2006 for Tsunami relief. UNICEF chose him as the Goodwill Ambassador in April 2006. He organized ‘Hit for Haiti’ to help the Haiti Earthquake Victims.

He started playing tennis at the age of Eight. He started playing tennis as a junior. He won lots of tournament. In 1998, he became the Junior World Number One. In 2000, he played his first adult finals. He won the Hopman Cup in 2001 where he represented his home nation Switzerland. He beat Pete Sampras in French Open Quarterfinals to reach semis. Pete was Federer’s Favorite player. He won his first Masters in 2002. Then, he was ranked the sixth best tennis player in the world.

In 2003,  he won his first Grand Slam title in Wimbledon. He won seven finals in ATP tour. He was ranked 2nd in the tennis players of the world. He won 3 Grand slams in 2004. He became No.1 ranked tennis player after he won the Australian Open. He then won Wimbledon for the second time and US open for the first time. He then lost to Rafael Nadal at the French Open and Australian Open. But he won the Wimbledon for the third time. In 2006, he again won the Wimbledon. In 2010, he lost in quarterfinals at the Wimbledon. He lost the Australian Open, Wimbledon and US open in 2011. He got ranked number 3 then. He won the Indian Wells Masters in 2012. He beat Murray in Wimbledon and became the World number 1.

In 2012, in the finals of the Summer Olympics he lost to Andy Murray and took home silver. Due to serious back injury, he lost the Australian open and other tournaments in 2013. In 2014, he defeated Novac Djokovic in Dubai Tennis Championship. He won the Brisbane International in 2015 beating Milos Raonic in the finals. He won the ATP title for the seventh time. He underwent arthroscopic surgery in 2016. Currently, he is ranked number 3 in the world after No.1 ranked Novac Djokovic and British’s Andy Murray. He is one of the highest earning athletes in the world.

Lamar Odom is an NBA star player and a Television actor. He has played for Los Angeles Clippers and Miami Heat and changed the course of the game for these teams. He also played for the United States at the Olympic Games when Olympic Games took place in Athens, Greece. He is famous for his basketball skills but always ended up in some or the other controversies. He also married Khloe Kardashian, famous American Television star, which later ended up in a divorce. Lamar Odom was born in New York (Queens). He is the son of Joe Odom and Cathy Mercer. After his mother’s demise when he was just 12 years old, his grandmother Mildred Mercer raised him. He started playing basketball at an early age of seven and was trained by Jerry DeGregorio while he attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School, New Britain. Because of his game, he was named ‘Player of the Year’ in 1997. He thought of joining NBA after his high school but soon he realized that he was not ready yet and later he joined University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Lamar was then transferred to the University of Rhode Island because of his high ACT score. In 1999, he finally joined NBA and was selected by Los Angeles Clippers. Lamar Odom started his career as a basketball professionally in the year 1999 whereas he started playing basketball at an early age. He played basketball during his school days too and was named ‘Player of the year’ by different magazines; he also gained some popularity because of this. He first played for Los Angeles Clippers when they were at a losing edge, but after Lamar’s entry into the team, they played well and soon were on the list of top contenders. He was then transferred to Miami Heat and made them win few games. Later in 2004, he earned a bronze medal at the Olympic Games where he played for the United States. He was soon traded to Los Angeles Lakers where his performance improved, and the team won two NBA championships in the year 2009 and 2010. He played for Los Angeles Lakers from 2004 till 2011. In 2010, he participated in FIBA World Championship where he won a gold medal. Later in the year 2011, he was traded to Dallas Mavericks, but he couldn’t play many games for them. Within just a year, he has again transferred to Los Angeles Clippers and played few games with them where his performance was nominal. In 2014, he played for Laboral Kutxa Baskonia and New York Knicks for few games. Apart from his professional career, Lamar married Khloe Kardashian in the year 2009 after dating her for some time. With Khloé Kardashian, he made his television appearance and was seen in Keeping Up with the Kardashians. He also had his own Television Reality Show named as ‘Khloé & Lamar’ which first aired in 2011 and continued till 2012 with two seasons. He was later found in many controversies which also included drug abuse. Later in 2015, Khloé and Lamar signed divorce papers, but the final decision has not been made legally. On 13th October 2015, Lamar went into a coma while he was in Nevada brothel while he started responding within four days. His conditions improved with time and currently he his focusing on getting back into his game from which he took a temporary retirement.

Jayson Williams

Jayson Williams is a professional basketball player of American, Italian, Polish, and African descent. He took birth on February 22, 1968, in Ritter, South Carolina. His mother's and father's names are Barbara Williams and Elijah Joshua Williams respectively. Barbara worked at a nursing facility. Jayson went to St. John's University and Christ The King Regional High School. He played basketball since school days. Jayson is a victim of child abuse. In 1990 NBA Draft, Phoenix Suns picked him up. Then, Philadelphia 76ers bought him but sold him to New Jersey Nets. Jayson struggled for some time before becoming a fixed member of NBA. His consistent good performances made him an everyone's favorite. However, on April 1, 1999, he had an unpleasant collision with Stephon Marbury, his teammate, while playing against Atlanta Hawks and he broke his leg. The injury proves to be a fatal one and he had to undergo a surgery which ensured that he couldn't play again. Jayson officially retired from the sport on June 28, 2000. He did play for Idaho Stampede for some time after retirement. In 1992 Jayson was involved in a tussle with a patron. In 1994, someone accused him of firing a semiautomatic weapon in Meadowlands Sports Complex's parking lot. However, police didn't find him guilty in both the cases. On February 14, 2002, while toying with a shotgun he misfired and it hit Costas "Gus" Christofi the chauffeur of the Jayson's NBA charity team. He died on the spot. After several court trials Jayson pleaded guilty, and the court sentenced him to five years in prison. He completed his sentence. In 2009, NYPD officers stunned him to stop Jayson from committing suicide. In the same year they arrested him for punching a man. However, later he didn't drop the charges against Jayson. In 2010 police got him driving in an inebriated state after he caused an accident and they arrested him. The court found Jayson guilty and asked him to cough up nearly sixteen thousand dollars in addition to sentencing him for a year in jail. Jayson was the owner of New Jersey Storm. He has written a book titled Loose Balls which contains not just his on-field experiences but also Jayson's episode with guns. Jayson briefly dated Cynthia Bailey before marrying Kellie Batiste in 1999. However their union couldn't even last a year. In 2000 he got hitched to Tanya Young, a contestant on a reality show Basketball Wives: LA.
