She is the daughter of Sylvia, a bridal consultant, and Morty Drescher, a naval systems analyst. She has an older sister, Nadine. Fran was the first runner-up for “Miss New York Teenager” in 1973. In 1978, Drescher was married to Peter Marc Jacobson. They divorced in 1999. Jacobson was her constant supporter in her show-business career, and he wrote, directed, and produced her signature television series, The Nanny. She completed her graduation degree from Hillcrest High School in 1975. She is very famous for her role as Fran Fine in the hit Television Series the Nanny and her nasal voice and thick New York accent. Fran got her first break as the dancer Connie in the very famous movie Saturday Night Fever. She was appreciated much for her performance in this film.
